Linocut ACEO
It's been a long while since I last made an ACEO. In case you're wondering, ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". The standard dimentions of these cards are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches - the size of a trading card.
The one I'm holding is a one-color linocut print. I will be adding a second color to it for the second run.

Work-in-progress
This is another work-in-progress of a two-color linocut print. Instead of sticking to two fixed colors, I'm experimenting with a variation of color combinations. As this is a 'reduction' method, I have to make sure I print enough copies before I start cutting the linoleum to print the second color.

Tools of the trade
Sometimes aren't you just glad that not everything has to be done with a computer?

Two-color linocut (updated)
I'm working on a 2-color linocut print using the reduction process.
The image is first drawn, photocopied and transfered to the linoneum sheet. Then I cut out the white area and print the first (the lighter) color.
Here are the prints hanging on my make-shift drying rack after the first color is printed!
Now I cut out the area where I only want the first color (the brown area) to appear.
Before printing the second color (black), I made sure the lino sheet is aligned with the registration marks I made on the piece of cardboard which I used as a base template before the first color was printed.
Slowly I peeled off the print...
And here's the finished pieces hanging out to dry!

Buttons!
These one-inch button badges just came in yesterday. I have been trying to re-stock these Zodiac Monsters buttons ever since they sold out some months ago. I finally found the time to do it recently.

Prints Are People Too!
Thanks to Tyson and Angie of Headquarters Galerie + Boutique for inviting me to be part of the show. I'm honored to be part of the group who comes from everywhere around the world!
I'll be creating some new works specially for the show. And here's a sneak preview of two prints from my Mt. Fuji series which will make their way there:

Birthday girl
Sharyne from Australia sent me this photo of her little girl Lulu who celebrated her 5th birthday yesterday. She must be one of the most ardent Astro Boy fans around!

Moleskine from Modofly
I was invited by Modofly to contribute some designs for their range of laser-etched Moleskine notebooks. These are two of them I did for them.
And here's a happy customer who got one of my books!

Shipping day
Today is shipping day. I usually ship three times a week because I know how it's like to wait for your order to arrive.

More linocut prints
Here's a 'triptych' of the Godzilla print in three different colors. (I was thinking of the original candy-colored iMacs, circa 1998.)
And a new print of a lonely man I did at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts last night. This is a little different from my usual stuff.
